Why curved steel is almost impossible to insulate traditionally

Nexseal LE is a closed-cell spray polyurethane foam — performance declared to I.S. EN 14315-1 — that bonds directly to curved corrugated steel with exceptional adhesion. Nissen, quonset and Romney — from WWII heritage to modern workspace

The Nissen hut was invented in 1916 by Major Peter Norman Nissen of the Royal Engineers — over 100,000 were produced during WWI alone, with hundreds of thousands more in WWII. The quonset hut is the American equivalent, developed in 1941 at Quonset Point Naval Air Station in Rhode Island with a wider profile and interior lining — over 150,000 were built during WWII and shipped worldwide. The Romney hut is the larger British variant, used as aircraft hangars and vehicle workshops.
