GacoPatch silicone roof sealant

The repair that does not wait for dry weather. A fibre-reinforced, moisture-curing silicone compound that bonds to damp surfaces — trowelled into cracks, voids, punctures, bolts and lap seams, with no fleece or scrim to bed in.

✓ Bonds to damp surfaces ✓ Fibre-reinforced — no scrim ✓ Trowel-applied ✓ Overcoat in 4–8 hours

What GacoPatch is for

The three jobs it gets bought for, on roofs that are usually already wet.

Flat roof repair

Emergency leak repair

A roof is leaking and the forecast is bad. GacoPatch bonds to a damp surface, so the repair happens now rather than after a dry spell.

Metal roof fixings and laps

Fixings, bolts & lap seams

Trowel-grade, so it stays where it is put around awkward details a brush-grade product runs off.

Asbestos cement roof repair

Repair stage before coating

Step three of the silicone system: cracks over 6 mm and voids filled before the S42 field coat, so the membrane is never asked to span a gap.

Why contractors keep a tub on the van

What the data sheet actually gives you on site.

💧

Bonds to damp surfaces

Most repair compounds need a dry substrate. This one does not — which is the whole point of it in an Irish winter.

🧵

Reinforcement built in

Fibre-reinforced, so there is no separate fabric to cut, bed and encapsulate. One product, one operation.

Ready to overcoat in hours

Four to eight hours before the silicone top coat goes over it, so a repair does not cost you a day.

🔗

Same chemistry as the system

Compatible with every GacoFlex silicone coating, so the repair and the membrane cure as one — no dissimilar-material joint to fail later.

Common questions

Can GacoPatch be applied to a wet roof?
Yes. It bonds to damp surfaces, which is exactly why it doubles as the emergency repair when a roof is leaking and the weather will not wait.
Do I need a fabric or scrim with it?
No. GacoPatch is fibre-reinforced, so the reinforcement is already in the compound. Resin systems that are not reinforced need a separate fleece.
Is it a permanent repair or a temporary one?
It is a permanent silicone repair in its own right. On a roof that is being coated, it is the repair stage before the S42 field coat goes on — cracks over 6 mm, voids, punctures, bolts and fixings.
How long before I can coat over it?
Four to eight hours in normal conditions before overcoating with a GacoFlex silicone system.
Which roofs does it work on?
Metal, asbestos cement, aged bitumen and felt, single-ply, EPDM and existing silicone coatings — the same substrates as the rest of the silicone system.
