With a lambda value of 0.027 W/m·K, Nexseal LE delivers maximum thermal performance at minimal thickness. For grain stores, a thin 15–25mm coat eliminates condensation. For silo conversions, 50–80mm+ between timber studs achieves TGD L compliance.
Protecting stored grain: condensation on uninsulated steel causes grain caking, mould growth and mycotoxin development — directly reducing the value and safety of stored grain. By raising the internal surface temperature above the dew point and stabilising the overall silo temperature, the foam prevents moisture from ever reaching the grain — reducing spoilage, quality downgrading and re-drying costs, permanently.


The right spray foam specification depends entirely on what the silo is used for. Active grain stores need a thin condensation-control coat. Silo conversions need thicker insulation with stud framing for habitable, year-round use.

Corrugated steel silos suffer condensation when warm moist air meets cold steel. This drips onto stored grain, causing caking, mould growth and mycotoxin contamination.
Uninsulated steel heats up rapidly in sun and cools fast overnight. These daily swings cause grain sweating and moisture migration through the stored grain mass.
Spray foam stabilises temperature and eliminates condensation, protecting grain value. A stable, dry environment prevents spoilage and reduces drying costs.
Silo conversions need proper insulation to be habitable year-round. Without it, converted silos are unbearably hot in summer and freezing in winter.
